At this age, kids found that they are separated individual from you and trying to develop their own personality. When you should at your kid it might not be a good solution. What I usually do is tell my kid that it's bad behavior and it's no good. Then she will tell me it's good (usually she says the opposite thing). Then I will ask her to time out and think about that and see if she is correct. Then she will learn from the lesson. I found that shouting at her doesn't work at all and it just created more problems.
