My family (my husband and I and two boys) is moving to Singapore on April 2009. We'll stay in two places, one house is near Balestier Plaza and the other house is near Kallang Riverside Park.

Please advise:
1) Is there any good Kindergarten (K1 and Nursary) near my places you can recommend?
2) Is there any family doctor who can speak Cantonese near my places?

New member in Singapore

Hi,

My family will move to Singapore in Jan 2009 (my husband, my daughter and I). I am also looking for the kindergarten and the place to live.

My husband is from HK, but I'm from Shanghai. My daughter is around 3.5 years old, how about your sons?

I don't really familiar with those two places that you mentioned. But Balestier Road is quite close to the town. There's a Pat's school house which is located at Claymore road. The school is bi-lingual and general comments are quite good. Here's the website: www.patschoolhouse.com

For family doctor. I have one at the Orchard area. The doctor is very good and also can speak cantonese. If you need it, please pm me.

There is one kindergarten organized by church at Newton area, quite good in English and Chinese. If you are interested, please PM me.
