I think it depends on which hospital and ward.
For QE B9, baby ward, they allow one of the parent stay 24 hrs accompany with the baby. For night time, they've got sofa bed for the over-night parent, but limited to 9pm to 7am. Other than parent, visiting hour is 5pm to 8pm.
it depends on which hospital or ward your baby/child is staying ....take for example eastern hospital, you could stay with your child in Paedi ward and NICU, but not SCBU in the past. But after sars, there is no more staying overnite with your child in any of the wards, except for the visiting hours...my son was hospitalised two times late last year in NICU and Paedi ward. It was so worrying and heartbreaking to leave him there as he was not yet two. But learnt from friends that Kwong Wah and United hospitals let parents stay overnite at around the same time last year
