my baby was born in St.Teresa too, honestly,
this private hospital does not support
breastfeeding. It has the fixed feeding
schedule, and the nurses always recommend
the mothers to feed the formular after
breastfeeding their babies, the nurses
said it is because we do not have milk
yet. also, the nurses are not professional,
they do not teach the mothers how to breasfeed,
luckily i can be 100% breastfeeding mom,
but my sister-in-law, and my friend only
feeded their babies for 20 days because
they do not hv enough milk, main reason
is that they followed the feeding pattern by
St.Teresa.
Therefore, i would suggest you do the following:
before going into this hospital, please
discuss with the nurse, that you need to
feed your baby with unlimited time,
DO NOT FEED ANY FORMULAR TO YOUR BABY
AT DAY TIME AND MIDNIGHT, CALL you to
feed baby when midnight.
if they do not let you do this, i would
suggest you change hospital, can consider
Baptist hospital, because this is the critical
period to determine whether you can breastfeed
successfully or not.

My two sons are born in St. Teresa hospital. They are wholely brease feed babies.
For my elder son, I requested to feed on demand in the hospital. The nurse do call me whenever my baby is hungry. My elder son drinks very well, I only need to feed him every 3 hours. But the point is, I am so tired after delivery. Even though I can make it. But I will never forget the toughness.
So when my second son born, I did not requested to feed on demand in the hospital. I even don't feed the meal at 11:00pm. However, he still 100% breast feed. He is now 4.5 months.
I agreed that they don't put great effort to promote breast feed, but per my feelings, they do support breast feed.
