My bb hit his head abt the same positions even younger than yr bb. It didn't look serious to me at all.
What did yr bb hitting to? How high? Was there suspected fracture? Yr bb seemed to be ok afterwards?
As long as yr bb was not repeatedly vomitting, there should be no internal damage.
If u worry too much, maybe u should consult another doctor for 2nd opinion before doing anything!
