I have breastfed my son exclusively for the first 5 month. Now he is 24 months old and I am still breastfeeding him twice a day. I am a full-time mum. In fact I have gone back to work immediately after maternity leave. I practised pumping out breastmilk while I was still at home and so when I went back to work it was much easier for me to generate enough milk for my son to eat. I bought a very good pump, it's called pump-in-style and it's cost around HKD3000. But it's really good. I could easier take 20 ounce milk back everyday for my son to eat for the next day and sometime there was too much that I had to chuck some of them away! I strongly recommend this pump to all the working mum who want to breastfeed.
I am happy to share with you, I am the same case with you. But I was last for my boy 19 months then I gave up. My boss allow him to do so during the office hours, when it was excess, I gave my elderest boy. He was very cooperate and drank the rest. Now the two boys are very healthy, it seems to be put the battery inside their body. I am so lucky !
I breastfeed my elder girl for 27-28 mths. She stopped by her own. & now I'm breastfeeding my baby boy (3 mths old). This time it's much easier. He can sleep 7-8 hrs at night! - 5-6 times/day
I feeded breast milk to my two boys from they borned. The following experience was when I borned my youngest boy.
Yes, I pumped 5 times a day, can have 50oz per day, so the youngest boy (now 2 years old) was very enough then i gave the rest to my elder boy. I consulted with my kids doctor, he said it was better than eating bird nest.
Now, my elder boy study in k3, for in k1 and k2, totally he was absent only one day from school.
So, I encourage mother to continue to feed breast milk after back to the office, try to arrange the time to do so.
Very happy to share my experience here as I was busy after maternity leaves, now the Co. has not so much business, that why I can spare the time go to bk.
