Hi,

Anybody can tell me :

(1) How go to/from Bedford (Bedford School) from/to Heathrow Airport, Terminal 3 with bus/coach expect train ?

(2) Have any taxi company's website or tel no. call a taxi from/ to Bedford ?

Anytime, you can get the free Chinese Newspaper from Chinese supermarket( but I don't know are all the supermarkets the same as we shop), search from the airline websites......

To go to bedford, the easiest way is to use the National Express, get off at bedford then change to local taxi to get to where you need to go;
or ask your son to ask around in town for private-hire/pre-booked airport drop-off/pick-up service 'cos local taxi can't do airport pick-up and transfer because of distance and trade restrictions. The pre-bookeds are probably about £70-80 per trip but they might give you discount if you book a round-trip.

as i remember, flights arrive too early for a direct coach to bedford, you have to change coach at cambridge or milton keynes.

alternative route is take underground to kingscross st pancras and take the thameslink train to bedford, but with lots of luggages, this is too much for anyone.

so, it might be better to take the earliest coach to luton central and take just one flight of stairs to luton train station and take the train to bedford.

bedford train station is west of the city center and the school is on the north. if you know the way, walk from train station to the school is about 20-25min max, take the taxi if you have lots of lugguage.

if you are serious about calling a cab service, try to call your son's housemaster to recommend one or even book it for you, because you really need a reliable company.
