We are going to hire directly a filipino helper who has previously work in Hong Kong but is now in Philippines.

Can you please advise any cost I need to pay for the helper in Philippines if the Hong Kong immigrarion has already granted the working visa?

其實佢著數過你好多，佢唔使俾萬幾兩萬銀中介，所以我朋友請呢類講明要對方俾晒錢，佢一毫子都唔使俾，不過佢請果個係未嚟過香港，如果有經驗你又覺佢好，大家一人攤分一半費用或你只肯出一千蚊其他佢包底都得，事關你幫佢慳咗萬幾兩萬，佢只需要出幾千蚊喎!

你用這間EMRY's employment Agency(tel : 28154114, 好多bun　bun 都用這間agent, 因為佢地係唔收bun bun錢, 係收employer $3257.5 全包, (但不包香港驗身), 你可以叫bun bun 比所有錢, 自己商量下, 因為我都由朋友介紹請左個bun ,我同佢講我出$1000 + 香港驗身, 因為係保障自己, thx

Yes, I also through this agent & all the $ paid by Maid.
I paid the body check & let her to take ID Card & take her in Airport by myself.
But you need to discuss it for yr maid.

In my case, I pay for everything but I go to the F. Consulate and Immigration myself.

She had worked in HK for 12 years. Her last contract was terminated after 6 months so her body check etc. was still valid. So the cost she had to pay to the local Filippino government bodies was very little to get the overseas working permit(just a few hundred HKD) before coming back to work for me. So I paid for that as well.

Including her local fees, I think I paid about HK$1000 excluding air tickets.

By the way, by law the employers need to pay for everything regarding hiring.

All agents are not realiable and not responsible. I do not recommand to any employer.

I provide all doucments to the agents on 22Feb09 but as of today, my documents have not been submitted to immigration yet.

Is Emry's Employment agency in Sheung Wan lor. It's really really bad. I call them since Monday 16Mar09, they said they need to check the paper received from Philippine consulate b4 submit to immigration but now is Thursday already. I went to their office after work. My paper still there.

I don't know but the agent promise me he will send the document tomorrow lor. So, I will update everyone tomorrow. Good luck to me la.

我都係用 "Emry's Employment agency in Wan Chai", 真係好唔得嫁, 我比晒d資料佢, 但佢一個月後先幫我send去入境處......然後又要我成日勁催佢地做野, 由頭到尾攪左3個月, 谷到爆.......

由於我係新手僱主, 我無叫我賓賓出錢, 所有錢都係我出.....

I went throught Sunshine agency (Tel no:31101491) in Wan Chai. It costs $3xxx. The maid paid all. I paid body check.

To ensure no delay, you should poll your agency every week to ask about application progress. The one served me is called Ginny Philips. Things are prepared neatly.

In my experience, agent submits the application to HK immigration who starts the case after 2 weeks. Then HK immigration will inform you the reference number and it takes another 6 weeks processing time for normal case. At the time you have the reference number, write an urgent request to HK immigration to speed up the case.
