After dusk, rioters continue to set fire, block roads and vandalise facilities extensively in various districts. Some masked rioters even beat up bystanders in Shum Shui Po and Mongkok areas, taking the law into their own hands.
At 5 pm, after a traffic accident, a taxi driver was pulled out from his vehicle and was severely battered by some masked men. He lied on the ground unconsciously and was covered in blood. Later on, another group of masked men attacked a male and left him unconscious near Nathan Road. A female taking picture of rioters’ damaging behaviour was also beaten up by some masked men in Mongkok. Her head was injured with visible blood loss. The atrocities committed by the rioters are far beyond the bottom line of any civilized society.
The Police warn the rioters to stop all illegal acts and express the strongest condemnation against all violent acts of rioters.
