Actually, when the maid gets on the flight, she starts to make friends...when she is at the agency, she continues to make friends...so, not a big difference.
As for me, I would ask the maid to stay outside until I have her clean medicial report. It is more important as she may have HIV or other diseases that are fatal to my family members, especially kids.

Agreed. I just do the same as kingkingmui. My maid arrived HK on 1/6 and I took her home on 3/6 until the medial report is issued & confirmed the maid is healthy and fit for work.
