The BVI Business Companies Act has been amended during August 2022 and will require most BVI International Business Companies to submit an Annual Financial Return to their Registered Agent due nine months after the end of the year to which the annual return relates.
The template for the Financial Return has not been released yet, however, it is expected to include an Income Statement and Balance Sheet and will not require to be audited. The new legislation will be effective from 01 January 2023.
