He just only 3? Does he like to swim and play sand on the beach. If he like to play on the beach, Koh Samui is a good choice. He could play on the beach whole day. You could also go to Koh On Tong National Park for sign-seeing and to to Koh Tao for feeding the fish on the beach. You also could arrange one day tour including 騎大象 on Koh Samui. But if you son don't like swim or beach. Saumui might be boring to him.

However, Bangkok is also fit for child because you could bring him to Dream World, Childeren Discovery Musume, Safair World, Siam Ocean World.

佢好鍾意游水架..上次去沙巴都玩得開心...原本想去浮羅交怡...但已full了...先考慮到蘇梅島...你有冇好既pool villa推介..

I have stay in Nora Breach and Resort last time (Nora Villa). Room was nice, service was good but the beach is artificial. Sand was roughness and not suitable for swim. I would like to try Sala Samui next time because their rooms look so nice.
You may try the hotel at Lamai beach because the beach is more clean and suitable for child to play.
However, because of safety and laibility. Hotels may not accept those who accompany with child to stay in pool villa. You have to ask the hotel before booking
