Travel documents for kid to Macau

Just want to know if my kid (2 years old) can go to Macau by 特區護照+ children ID card. Did any BK mothers travel with your kids to Macau by 特區護照+ children ID card before. I have phoned Yau Ma Tei travel for the document require to Macau, they said that 特區護照 is not ok! My kid should apply 回港証 for travel.
