Can you share your handling procedure? So how long did you stayed in Australia to apply the baby bonus?
i have been to the medicare centre and talked to the family assistant officer there, the maximum age for BB got the bonus is below 26 weeks old, provided that she is a PR only, no need to provide info about how long of stay here in AUZ.
Yes, you can apply rent assistance once you got the rental agreement however it depends on your family income, you need to estimate your family income of the financial year (Jul to Jun next year) and they will calculate how much you would receive every fortnight.
BTW, the rules of baby bonus was changed since 1 Jan 09. You are not eligible to apply baby bonus if your family income is more than 75K within 6 months after baby born. Also, it is now granted in 13 payments paid every fortnight.
It seems that if your leaving is less than 13 weeks, you are entitled to get paid. However, you need to notify Centrelink that you are leaving and reture.
