Yes, tell her the rules and the daily work, preferably on paper, as she will foget.
You can ask her to start work after giving her half an hour to unpack, unless it is very late at night.
For training, some have experience and some have none. Let her do it and correct her if she says she knows how. Don't expect her to remember what u teach her after showing her 1 time. I have been training mine for 1.5 months, telling her the same things daily, and she still does not remember....vomitting blood!
My last maid has 6 years of exp in Singapore and she used my laundry powder to wash the bathroom! Did she wonder what the bathroom and toilet cleaners are for?
Watch her closely and good luck!
She said she is a u-grad and worked in Middle East as a nanny for 3 small kids for 2 years. She Knows absolutely nothing about caring for young children and is as stupid as a donkey.
Another maid who worked in HK before cooked rice starting at 5:30pm, cause she never figured out how to measure rice water, so she lets water evaporate for 1.5 hours! She also mops the floor 3 times a day and cannot stop herself! I told her once is enough.
