Just found out that my maid has borrowed money from Finance Company, I am planing to fire her tomorrow. What should I do:

1. Call Agent
2. Bring her to agent OR Bring her to Immigration Dept? (some people said bringing to immigration dept is more safe?)
3. Report to police about the borrow money issue
4. Report to Immigration Dept
5. Get the report from Immigration Dept and send to Finance Company

Any thing I need to be aware, please help, I do not want the finance company come to my home etc....

1> 可以帶佢去agency度先同佢簽文件, 不過你最好自己prepare個見証人, agency一般都唔肯做見証簽文件

2> 我未聽過帶去immigration喎........

3> 工人借錢, 唔係偷錢, 冇犯法架喎...報警冇咩用

4> 一定要report to immigration la....

5> 呢個都係必要嘅step, 如果唔係果d財仔就會騷擾你屋企架喇!

Last time my step of firing the agent is that:

1. Prepare the termination letter and the last salary calculation.

2. On the firing day, have one friend as witness. Looking at her tidy up the things. Get her acknowlegement of receiving the termination letter and last salary payment.

3. Next day, send a letter to immigration dept by fax and mail. Then the maid can only stay at most 14 days in Hong Kong after termination date.

That's the above steps that i have done. I think calling agent is not required provided that you want to hire another maid from that agent.
