Last time, I went to Singapore with my son for a week.
We stayed in Sentosa for 4 nights and the City for 2 nights.
My son enjoyed very much in Sentosa as he could travel around with the monorail, tram along the beach, roofless bus, visit museum, watching laser show at the musical fountain. Most of all, he loves playing at the beach.
However, there are not much choices of catering in Sentosa. You may just go back to the City to dine there.
I brought my son to the Little India and Night Safari in the City. Night Safari was a wonderful experience to him. You may as well take the dinner inside.
If you want to visit the night safari, you may find the website of night safari useful. The website:
http://www.nightsafari.com.sg
There are also photos of the restaurant.
The food there is OK but I think dining there is just because of convenience and the environment. The children would enjoy it. It cost about $100 per head depending on the food you choose.
I brought my son to visit an Indian Temple at Little India and he asked me a lot of questions about the culture of India. It was a good experience and an Indian woman talked to him and gave him a piece of candy. We also had some Indian food and curry in the restaurant....Yummy and very traditional Indian food with good taste of herbs and spice. I also brought a set of Indian dress "Sari"....very beautiful.
Yes, we visited some bookstores last time but I didn't compare the price of the books.
