Here is my advice if you terminate a maid with one month notice rather than give her a month salary in lieu of notice....
Before telling your maid the issue: -
1) Make sure you have a relative to look after your maid in that one month.
2) Put away all valuable things into safe-box.
3) Keep all documents [Her ID / Passport copy] in a safe place.
4) Discuss this issue with your agency and see what is their suggestion.
Telling your maid the issue: -
1) Take Video / Tape record
2) Find a Translator
3) Find a witness
4) Ask her to sign back the termination letter. Of course, you keep the true copy.
After telling your maid the issue: -
1) Fax the termination notice to Labour department
2) Fax the termination notice to Immigration department.
3) Fax the termination notice to your agency.[If they want it]
4) Keep your eyes on her. For safety reason, set a digital cam to monitor her performance.
5) Time to time to check your valuable things.
6) Care your FOOD. I don't know they will do some bad things in your Food or not.
