董事會宣佈派發第四季股息 0.1美元，連同過去三季每次派 0.08美元，全年派 0.34美元（約 2.64港元），較 08年全年度實際派息 0.64美元，跌 46.9%。

加薪方面，匯豐銀行亞太區行政總裁王冬勝僅稱，會是一個低單位數字的增幅，與市場幅度相若。花紅則按職級而定，屬1至4級，即高級經理或以上者，由部門經理論功行賞，其餘員工平均介乎0至7.5個月的月薪。匯豐在港擁員工1.8萬人。

i totally agreed with u, because i said 'of course not' is referring to the topic "being hsbc staff is better than being hsbc shareholder" that means i found that being shareholder is better.

i'm an ex-staff of hsbc, totally understood what is happening inside.

I'm not angry la. hahaha...
i know what ur 'of course not' means... that's why i expressed my feeling to support u too.
actually i'm one of the billion shareholders of HSBC. But i think once u made decision u bought its shares, it means that u prefer mid or long term investment...(no matter what how much is the interest)
i remembered that after the Tsurami, HSBC terminated many staffssss without notice suddenly... i felt it's so cruel. But we should understand that the market rule is like that... many ppl sacrified in this incident... and now they just have little bit sunshine...
come on, we all pls don't be so stingy, right!!!???

can't forget some coworkers packed their personal belongings with tears when suddenly received 'big envelope' without prior notice....

every moment in nightmare for those terrrible old days...

做5仔員工(下層嗰啲)的確唔好過，我識得個，入去炒房做，簽約2年，D條件克薄到吖。
以前4個做嘅而家1個搞掂；壓力好大，人都癲。而家聽講好番D。
恆生亦唔好得好多。

應該話家下銀行工唔易打...workload 重, pressure大, 次次個market有事, 又要交人layoff. Layoff 還好, 有得賠, 有d 叫你自己辭職. 我個frd果team, 佢俾人迫resign 之前都迫走左4個. So-called 自然流失, 好彩我唔係#5員工..

不過, 作為小股東對佢地口口聲聲漸進式加派股息就有d失望.

舊年係iBank啲人幾好；e家做嘢辛苦就個個都預左，但辛苦得黎冇回報嗰啲就慘D；有D老細好識咋死，公司生意好都唔回饋番比D員工，難委人哋海嘯時同佢捱。

u are wrong la.....no bonus, no double pay many years in HSBC

My friend is a manager in HSBC and he complained that there has salary increase only 1 time for last 10 yrs but he was promoted 3 times. The bonus is good and thus the whole package is attractive.
