Over the last few months I have reason to questions your ability to carry out the simple day-to-day household tasks and in particular listening to explicit instructions. The examples are as follows :
1) 1 Nov 04
I brought a magic written broad for my children and explained to you at once that the pen for the magic broad was danger to baby, as it was very sharp. The baby had to play under supper-vision and couldn’t play alone, as my baby only 11 months at that moment. I returned home at night on 1 Nov 04 I found my bay had taken the magic pen and was running around the living room. This was a danger to a baby. I found a black & blue mark under her left eye. When questioned you still stated that you could see nothing and everything was normal. I took my baby to visit Dr Chan who certified that my baby was hurt by a sharp fine instrument. The word from you I feel sock : “The pen for the magic broad not a real pen.”

I made a Chinese medicine for my younger daughter at night. You made a bottle of medicine for my younger daughter, and I put the rest of the medicine in my son’s milk bottle for storage. Approx. eleven o’clock, you asked me what should I do with the remaining medicine. I said “ Keep.” Finally, I found you gave the medicine to my elder son, and said that I told you “Give.” I cannot understand why child, that had already drank milk, brushed teeth and sleep for an hour still needs to be given medicine.
3) 17 Apr 05
Before you made soup, I talked with you eye to eye and I told you not to put ginger in the soup, but you need to put ginger with fried the fish and take it out when you made soup. Finally, you took out the ginger from the fried fish but still put ginger in the soup. After we drank the soup, the whole family suffered from throat pain.

I was feeling sick at home and I told you around 8:00 a.m. in the morning that I needed plain congee and fish for a meal, and could you please buy fish from the market. I woke up at 1:15 p.m. and asked you about my meal. You stated that you would cook when I called you. I expected you to have prepared the meal and cannot understand how you think that congee can be cooked in such a short time.
From my observations, you do not concentration, you are careless and not considerate, and not listen to instructions. The aims to an employer to hire a maid is pay to buy services. We are not expecting the perfect service, even a safe and basic service still far from us. However, we insist on a safe home for my family and expecting you to listen, respect my instructions.
Please take this as your first formal letter of complaint. I expect an improvement in your quality of services immediately."
