hello, yyyy,
i think canberra (australian capital) is not a bad choice, i am so impressed by it's embassy area. you can go to sydney and join it's chinese travel agent for one day trip for canberra embassy area, quite nice. last year Sep. we went there, so nice and there was a spring flower fair in canberra, while now i think no more, but the embassy area in canberra is quite good. you can see every embassy building in it's special representative country style.
virginblue is not a bad choice, we chose that too and it is quite money saver.

Now I am seeking the acommodation for Sydney and Brisbane (Gold Coast) too. What you think about YHA, the price is around HK$500/night for double room.
Thanks for your valid information. It really helps. I have checked the hotels you mentioned, I am interested in them. I am thinking whether I should cancel the booking in Adelaide which I booked from YHA, the price is almost the same. I have heard the Youth Hostel Ass. is very nice in Australia. Have anyone lived there before? Any suggestion?
And, I have three days in Brisbane and Gold Coast, shall I spend 3 days in Gold Coast or 2 days in Gold Coast and 1 day in Brisbane. I need to leave Brisbane to Hong Kong. And advise?
yyy,
YHA is a licencing business, 所以水準幾參池(differ)下。 Barossa Valley more than Hunter Valley。
如果你不怕遠,可以去 Perth,Perth是全澳洲天氣最好,環境最乾淨的。雖然都有好多人話悶,但我就覺得好適合小朋友。呢個好時乎你兩公婆性格。但在Australia get around, you'd better hire a car to drive around. Waiting for public transport is a test of your patience. Hiring cars is quite cheap and convenient in Oz. You can easily hire one at the airport when you land. You can even return cars at a different port.
I think one day for Barossa Valley is more than enough, you can even go to Penfold cellar. It's better to rent a car at the airport.
pigpig,
Remember to go to the Zoo in Sydney, Blue Mountain, Bondi Beach (yummy ice-cream) and Oxford Street, Paddington for shopping. (It's a very long street full of shops - shop til you drop) You can buy Collette Dinningan (Clothes) and Gary Castle (shoes) there. You should also go to King Cross (Red light area), the Rock and of course the Opera House. And try authentic Vietnamese food at Cabramatta.
