Indo maid is better, they can speak cantonese. 最好請照顧開有病既老人家, but you have to choose 大隻d 既工人, 太細粒唔夠力, 如果係香港做開, 可以interview時叫佢試下扶下個老人家起身, 上床, 去洗手間, 睇下佢夠唔夠力 & 熟唔熟手.
Hire an Indo who has experience taking care of old bed-bound patients, else she will be 虐待or忽略. My mom was half paralyzed and complained of 虐待/忽略 when I was not home. Installing web-cam in her room is a good idea.
You must find a strong and tall one, able to lift her from the bed and the bath tub.
The one I hired for my mom was a physio therapist in her own country.
