I asked the Labour Dept as my maid came on Friday and the holiday is Saturday. The Labour Dept said by law, she is entitled to the day off the next day, even if she did not work for 6 days before that, as Sat is my normal day off. But by the same rule, when she leaves my contract on Friday, I also do not have to give her an extra day of pay on Sat.
