My maid has come for 3 weeks, now talk care 2 years old boy alone, she do not iron the clothes for a week, I have installed video cam at home and saw her cleaning the floor and living room twice a day. But when my son is asleep in the afternoon, she will also take a nap for an hour. She slept at 10:30 pm and wake up at 6:00 am, sometime need to wake up at night to take care of my son. Is it reasonable to allow her have a nap in the afternoon???
if not iron clothes for a week is a little bit too long la.
If she finished all housework and then take nap is ok but not finish work and take nap... I will give her some time deadline for housework la.
My maid finishes ironing within half an hour everyday (Mon to Sat). It shouldn't take long for anyone else. When my boy was small, I played with him in the evening & let the maid finish anything she had no time for in the day. I allowed her to take a nap as she also need to wake up in the night.
My maid take care of my son (5 months old) and my daughter (4 yrs old). She can finish routine work everyday including vaccum, mopping floor, tidy our rooms, wash + hang clothes, ironing.
She didn't take nap and she still full of energy to play with my kids....
I think it all depends on your maid's personality...hard work or not. There should be no excuse to finish routine work.
My maid do all heavy workload during weekend when I am at home such as cleaning of window, door & gate, curtain etc....

話佢好多次都係0甘, 結果我搵到而家呢個工人, 等佢一到香港, 我就即日炒個舊工人.
