Not a must, personality come first. My experience was older Filiphino is better. Best at her late 30 or early 40, over 50 too slow. The one I have for my father is 43 years old, still working fine and this is the forth contract with her.
For Indonesian, early 30 to 35 should be better. 40 or over 40 are generally too old. I had one 40 years old, so slow everyday work very late, 1:00AM finish daily work, sleep at 1:30AM or 2:00AM. Wake up 6:30AM. I made a full day demo for her, I finished all her works before 9:00PM. I fired her after 4 months.

i employ a new maid and will come next week. she's just 20 and i'm a little bit afraid of her unstability.
