you may call the embassy to check, I'll be going to japan next wed but suddently found out that my passport's expiry is end of Mar. I called immigration and it's ok for the HK side, but you'll have to chk the country you are heading to. Then I called the japan embassy and was replied that it's ok as long as it's valid, not necessary to have at least 6 months validity. So pls chk the Paris side.

Hey Cathy913 mom, you are right, the airline has regulation towards the validity period of passport - fortunately they accept 3 mths validity to Japan - i was told for the other countries, they will need at least 6 mths. Better check with every parties.
