Besides some afraid of dogs, you make sure they really know how to take care of dogs! Since I have 2 dogs, I also hire a maid to take care of them. A lot of maid said how they love dogs when they come for interview, but when you asked them how to take a bath for them or if they don't eat when she feeds them, what wll she do? Then most of them cannot answer! Even you hire a maid who can take care of them, be careful they just stay with their bun bun or Indo friends to chat and not walking the dogs! I have seen a lot of them like this, even mine is the same! They will pretend to go and walk them for a hour, poor doggies, they just force to seat there and no poo or wee! So I spot check my maid when she walks the dogs and found her partying sometimes!
no ah, if only for cleaning and washing dishes, I'll hire a part time local to do it instead. At least no need to worry too much, no need to have one more person living in your house, no need to pay for her food etc.
I also don't want to have a maid stay at home and totally agree you have to spend a lot of money to keep her at home. But like me, I have 2 dogs & only my husband and I, we still need a full time coz my 2 dogs need to walk 3 times a day, they don't wee at home no matter how windy or heavy rain outside. I tried 2 part time maids and they have to come Mon to Fri, 3 hours a day from 2-6pm, walked the dogs already used almost an hour and they are not happy to walk the dogs! My husband walked them i the morning and we have to rush home to feed them and walk them at night! Very tired and the money you hire a part time $50 x 3 hours x 5 days x 4 weeks is more or less the same as a full time! Of coz full time will make you mad when they are lazy, non stop talking on the phone and doesn't care my dogs....so I have a cam to watch them!
