try samsung. i bought R540 at golden computer ctr last month. arounf $4,000. It's really excellent when compared with my outdated desktop. the screen size is 15.6 inch. good for watch movie from the net even the broadband width for my plan is only at 8M from pccw. hope it would help.
I have also 8M in Nevigator. Sales person in Mongkok computor center advised me the same Samsung Model R540 but the price is $4888 which included to install Window 2010 office and Window 7 and the other sorts. Do you know the other better offer?
mine is R540-JA06HK which priced at $4,790, by cash only. the salesman installed openoffice 3.2 powerpoint and microsoft security essentials softwares for me as they are not included in the package along with the notebook. the performance of my notebook is very good so far especially when i connect it to my tv through HDMI for watching mytvb though it does not include individual display card.
My talking model is R540-JOSA. What's the difference for the both models? Is this model older than yours? Where you recommend to buy notebook better, Mongkok or Shamshuipo?
