Sophie Kinsella has a new book called Domestic Goddess.
Books by Dave Pelzer are very good and easy to understand, too. I read these 3, all real stories about himself. He wrote about being abused by his mother as a child, grew up as a foster kid, and his young adult life.

- A Man Named Dave
Thank you for your advice, seems that the story is quite sad, I am afraid it's too heavy to me as I would like to read somethings that make me laugh / just spend for my leisure. Any other advice? Though, I will try to take a look on your recommended books at bookstore.
Btw, have you read the Domestic Goddess, any comment?
