I didn't use lawyer. I asked my friend (Oz citizen) to fill the form, he signed in front of JP ( free in australia) and mail the completed form back to me.

My husband just applied on may. Still waiting for approval, but we done all the documents.
You need to find 2 peoples that know you both and write a letter about your relationship & sign. If the people is a hk people just write on a paper, if is a aust pr or citizen , need to fill in form 888.
