how to make baby 一覺瞓到5 or 6 hours? My 8 week old son always wake up very easily. The most he can 一覺瞓 at night is only for 4 hours (the most he can drink before going to sleep at 23:30 to 24:00 is 5.5 oz, and he then wakes up at 02:00, and then at 04:00 wakes up again). Has it got to do with his day time sleeping (he sleeps a total of about 6 hours between 07:00 a.m. to 19:00) ? Can other BK mothers please share their experience as my son is really tiring me out and I have to go back to work soon. Thank u very much.
actually, your 8 week son drinking 5.5oz is really a lot coz i remember when my son start drinking 150cc is about 5-6 months woh....anyway, if after his last drink at 24.00 then he wakes up again at 2am, will he cry for drink or just wake up?? usually how long will he go back to sleep??
If he cry for drink, you either increase little bit for the last drink and slowly train him to cut the night drink, you can just feed him little bit water and put him to sleep....if he wake up freshly and want to play, means you let him sleep too much during day time, if he want to sleep better around noon and before 4-5pm la....then after that, you try to play with him calmly (don't be too exciting) and make him busy until sleeping time.....in the morning, bring him see some sunlight, make him know morning is bright and night is dark and quite......
also you can try to make a 米袋or just use two towels and fold it in retangelar shape and put it on his stomach (not heart area) that can bring some weight on him to make him sleep tight D and not easy to wake up...this is really work on my son!! he also kept waking up for the first 2 months after i used the towels thing on him, he can sleep much better la.... hope can you help la....
Thank u so much for your advice. Looks like my son is sleeping too much during the day cos he usually has a big nap between 15:00 to 18:00/19:00 after bathing and feeding at around 14:00 (he sleeps best after bathing).
When does your son have his day time nap and how long are they? Would you mind sharing with me your son's routine for sleeping and feeding?
Also, on the towels to put on the baby's stomach. How big is the towel?
