Saw that operating hours are from 8am to midnight on every weekday. So is parking at any meter parking allowed after midnight? And without charging?

yes, no charge after midnight till to 08:00am, pls read the instruction stick on the meter, different description in different districts. normally free of charge fr 12:00 to 08:00

基本上係. 但唔一定係midnight. 有D錶位平日去到8點所以夜晚8點後其實就唔收錢(當然就唔會有ticket). 同樓上講一樣你要睇下個牌寫D咩同你係邊日泊.
