In Toronto, Renting a 2 bedroom condos in some not too bad area would be around $1300-1800, depends on the location. Renting a house would be $2000+
Prices on Buying a house depends on location, size, etc. If you are new to Canada, should rent for a year or two, just to see if it's worth to buy, also make sure you have a stable job first.
If both of you have a job, should be able to afford the rent. 仔女讀public school唔洗錢, join 政府嘅課外活動價錢亦唔太貴, 几十蚊. 如果唔大洗, 公一份婆一份應該ok嘅
