I renew the contract with my maid but she always quarrels with me after she return from Phil. She said that I had not given her enough transportation fee when she return to Phili. Actually, I gave her $200. In my knowledge, I just need to give her $100., is it? Pl clarify. Ths a lot.
i have the same problem too. and i just called the labour department.
according to the contract 7a, we have to pay her transportation cost from airport to her home town.
and 7b is different, we need to pay her $100 for each day as food and travelling allowance
see, we have to pay so many things, but in return, get a no good maid
I paid HKD100 x 2, as I counted it one day to her home and one day back to mine.
(I think it is somewhere written in the contract, show your maid the contract then she should not argue anymore.)
And I had asked my maid that it took her 4 hours bus journey from airport to her home, so it is within 1 day! (flight +bus)

#7a: $100 each day for her food allowance, so both way is $200 for your case
my several previous maids did not ask for the bus fare.
well, what can we say. if they can stay here as hk residents, we, the tax payer will pay more.
Honestly, if there is other options, I don't want to employ a maid, not because of their services quality (my maid is quite ok ga lar), but hate these troublesome arguement!
For $190 bus fare, did your maid show receipt?
My maid (In)had mentioned that if she got lots luggages she had to hire a car/ taxi to home, then it is very very expensive (she said to me cost her $1000), but if she doesn't have too many luggage she can take bus, and it will be a lot cheaper (around $100).
Luckily she didn't ask me for the travelling expense.
