LG Recorder is sucks!!! We had LG 4820 before. The Fine Mode video quality is worse than the Standard quality of Pioneer, not to mention all other unfriendly usability. We sold it after a short while.
We also had ACL +8 before. It is OK. The picture quality is good. In fact, most of their dvd recorders are just OEM of Liteon Recorders (e.g. 808GN) which is a well known Taiwanese company. (It's a shame that ACL always claims it's a HK company. ) But some models that are not Liteon OEM. They are no good at all, e.g. 80G, +9 etc. These may be made by ACL itself or OEM from other makers from the mainland. Be careful !
We finally changed for a Pioneer 520H because the ACL +8 doesn't have harddisk. The Pioneer is an all rounded winner!
