I have done a little research on Kowloon Tong and Shatin nursery schools... and can share with you abit
1. Caritas Nursery is good (I find the topic in BK and my church mamas...)- cheaper, has external area, teachers are nice... (FULL DAY)
2. Delia Goodtime - HALF day, but no external area ... I have 'visited' the nursery (although can't go inside, can 'estimate' the environment coz not large...)... quite convenient loh... but not big enough... the fee is not expensive)
3. Creative - Good recommendation from church moms but as the location is not close of where I live, I haven't applied for it...
Kowloon tong
1. Kingston - international nursery , very expensive, good recommendation from my friend... experienced expatriate teachers in teaching english...
2. YC - location is good, expensive too... teachers are good (I have visited there three times and finally choose this nursery for Joshua)
3. Anfield - location is not so convenient, expensive... teachers are good
4. Keen Ming/Cannan/HK Pre-school... not so expensive but the location is abit far away from KCR
Any moms can share their experience in finding nursery also???
same as Paulina, I also focused on pre-nursery at Shatin/Kln Tong. Below are some schools which I have visited/applied:
Shatin:
Creative (Castello) - Hayhay went to the interview and got an offer there..... the teachers are young and friendly (Chinese), area is new and clean, but no outdoor and a bit small..... they focus more on mother language and moral development of kids.... generally good comments from other mum
HK preschool - no outdoor as well, but the area is bigger and better. The curriculum should be harder than Creative... Chi+Eng+Mardarin and has foreign teacher per class..... those teachers I met there are friendly..... application form available on Nov 5 (obtain on site or through internet)..... so far comments that I got is good
Kln Tong
HK preschool - currculum same as the one in Shatin, but I feel the campus is small and the staff I met on the visit day is not so "professional"..... I will choose the Shatin one
Keenmind - the feeling and impression is good, in terms of the campus, teachers and the atmosphere in the school
Cannan - generally ok and focus in Chinese, the selling point is the spacious campus....
I also heard from my friends/others that Kingston/Anfield/Yew Chung that Paulina mentioned are good..... but since expensive, so not on my list lor.......
I also sent the application form to Keenmind and Cannan. As I know, Cannan will interview on early of December and Keenmind will interview by early of next year. If two schools also offer the seat for my son, I will choose Cannan.
