You got to have someone who is familiar with cars to buy and test the car with you. It also depends on your budget.

I have mine in early Oct from 香港駕駛學院 and passed by one go. They are expensive but worth. I will consider a Japanese 2nd hand Small car if I am going to buy one. I saw a very nice Suzuki in a car show that I really like it so much but still I think a 2nd hand would be better for a new driver. At least, it won't hurt much if you accidentally get a scratch on it. Good luck.
