I got a friend who's sister same case as you...just fly there and stay over....till delivery...she also go relaatives there....
But I will definitely tell u not to do this...
That women successfully deliver...no problem..but then black listed by canadian government...she can never travel there again even after two years......
So...if u plan to immigrate...just apply legally and apply for whole family including the coming baby...
now u are just like the "雙飛"sorry use the wrong word) woman from china, cross the border to other country to give birth to bady and to enjoy furture benefit.
In fact, if you are planning to immigrate to Canada eventually, there is really no point to come all the way to give birth first. Why rush and why spend so much money?
Or you real thinking is that-- if you come over to give birth then later, even you decide not to immigrate to Canada or your immigration is unsuccessful, your baby will still got all the benefit?
If you are thinking that way, I can tell you this is not working. Unlike HK, even if you baby was born in Canada, he/she won't get all the benefit if the parents are not Canadian citizens or residents, at least the baby won't get free education. Please noted that.
