I got my PR and I am planning to move to point cook with my 1 year old son next year. just wondering is there is a good place? the school is good? will have any discirmination over there. I understand that point cook is not a asian city, so I would just consider deeply before pick a place.
Point Cook is a new developing area in West side of Melbourne... It's really new and around and more and more new house will be built....The house price is sitting around $450K - $550K. There are many new migrants move to there, espcially chinese and indian. They'll be your neightbours.
As it's new, the council rate is more expensive.. The school and child care centres are all new, so they're not quite popular or famous yet. I do not think it's good place to live yet as there are not enough jobs vancancies around that area... and you only have the West Gate Bridge to come to the city, it's already overloaded. The traffic is terrible especially during peak hours. However, you do have a nice living area for your kid.....
