For (6), after 4-5 months of processing, they asked me (the sponsor) for a Letter of Release to proof my intention to move back to Canada. I have to resign my job, then my company will hold my last month's salary, then I have to go to Inland Revenue to pay my outstanding taxes, THEN they will issue the Letter of Release to my employer to "release" the last month's salary. They will give me a copy of the letter which I sent to immigration.
I was also worried what if I resign my job but they didn't approve my husband. I tried to go to the consulate office to ask but they refused to answer me and just told me to write a letter to them to ask (of course they never replied me). But my friend who immigrated earlier said normally they will ask for this letter when they have nearly reached the end of the processing so it should be ok.
However, this Letter of Release is given by Inland Revenue, not 香港入境處, so not sure if it is asking for the same document.
