Did anyone subscribe or is now considering "Cord Blood Saving" service?
The cost is not cheap.
Did anyone subscribe the service? Why?
I believe that saving cord blood is a good idea but I dont know which company is reliable.
Can anyone share your idea?

The company I use is called Cordlife(www. cordlife.com). I had also considered Cryolife when I made the decision. The reason I chose Cordlife is that I studied their background and see that Cordlife is more focus and professional in the area of 'cell science', while the mother company of Cryolife has a more divisified business like property and other industries.
No matter which on you choose, the method is the similar. The company will give you a 'Kit'. All you have to do is
1. Bring the 'Kit' to hospital and give it to the nurse
2. Call them when you go in hospital
3. Call them when your baby is born
4. They will send people to collect the kit from you at hospital
5. The doctor will use the tubing inside the 'Kit' to collect 臍帶血 once the 臍帶 is being cut and when you deliver the 胎盤.
The company that I joined (Cordlife), when I joined them, they have sent staff to the my doctor to brief them how to use the kit but normally, the doctor knows how to do it anyway, and they will tell you if the hospital you intend to go is Ok to accept collecting 臍帶血 or not.
I want to remind you two things, they are also being reminded by my doctor when I discussed with her. First, there are currently, no company that has been running this business more than 5 years, so you have to choose whihc company you trust to store the umbilical cord blood for 10, 15 years. Or you may choose a shorter time period packge instead and then extend as time goes by.
Secondly, the more blood the doctor can collect the best but how much blood can be collected depends on individual's 胎盤, but the most improtant is that how much 血幹細胞 can be processed from the 臍帶血 that has collected. 血幹細胞 才是可用的. The amount that processed at the end may end up only able to save an individual of 某重量, 即是說要待臍帶血拿回去司, process 完 才知 有多少血幹細胞同埋雖store for how long.
Another reason I chose Cordlife is that, they are now studying on 再造血幹細胞,那包臍血, 已預留一小包, in case, 科技可容許時就可再造血幹細胞, 那麼小孩再大也有保障.
