Daily
1. Clean all furniture, toilet, bathroom and the floor daily
2. Tidy up dining rooms, BB’s & the master’s bed rooms daily
3. Use vacuum and then use mop to clean the floor daily
4. Clean all kitchen utensils every day. Keep kitchen cupboard in order. It is a must to clean the stove and cooker hood after cooking.
5. Keep kitchen clean and tidy always.
6. Wash clothes, hang clothes, put dry clothes to wardrobe when necessary.
Weekly
7. Clean all toys every week.
8. Clean the refrigerator every week.
9. Clean all windows every week.
10. Hand wash carpet every week.
11. Prepare soup twice a week.
12. Go to market three times a week.
13. Iron the shirts and trousers of Sir and Madam weekly when we are at home.
Monthly
14. Change and wash bed cover and pillow covers every two weeks
15. Clean all lamps, gates, doors every month
16. Clean all fans and air-conditioners every month.
17. Clean all the ventilators at kitchen and at toilet every month.
Others
18. Take care of children and baby is the most important duties. Housework should be done if children and baby are sleeping.
19. Check the refrigerator, cupboard and toilet and report to Madam if there is shortage of things such as rice, tissue paper, milk power so that Sir and Madam can buy them.
20. Ensure there are boiling water and drinking water all the time.
21. Follow the timetable.
22. Follow the verbal instructions of Madam for all other duties
23. Do the weekly or monthly housework if you finished all the daily housework.
Important: Please follow all the house rules below. Otherwise you will be warned or even terminated.
Obedience
1. You are working for Sir and Madam. Always follows the house rules and instructions from Sir and Madam. If you don’t follow, you are not suitable to work for us.
2. Don’t test our patience. If you keep doing bad things, you are not suitable to work for us.
3. Respect Sir and Madam.
4. Don’t be lazy.
5. Don’t go out without permission.
6. If you are not sure what should be done or what should not be done, ask Madam.
Honesty and Integrity
7. If you have any dishonest and misconduct behaviors being found, we must send you to the Police.
8. Don’t take money or any other things from the house. Otherwise we must send you to the Police.
9. If you do something wrong, you should report to Sir and Madam immediately and say sorry.
10. Our relationship is based on trust. Please be honest to us and we will treat you well.
11. Don’t read our letters, files or any documents for personal privacy. We will not read yours either.
12. Don’t tell other people anything about us. Please respect our personal privacy. We will respect your privacy too.
Diligence
13. Do the daily housework.
14. Do the weekly or monthly housework if you finished all the daily housework.
15. Don’t sleep during daytime. It is lazy and totally unacceptable.
16. Housework should be done seriously and thoroughly.
Money Matters
17. Don’t ask for loan from outsiders or finance company. These all lies and you will end up in trouble and never be able to repay their money. Many of them are loan sharks and run by triads.
18. To ensure that you don’t borrow money from third party, your passport has to be kept by Madam. If you are found committing any offence, we will terminate the employment contract immediately.
19. If you have any financial problem, talk to Madam.
20. Don’t lend money to others. People will cheat your money.
Security
21. Don’t bring friends/relatives/any people back home.
22. Don’t disclosing home address, telephoning number, anything regarding our family to outsiders.
23. Don’t open the door and let anyone enter the house when we are not at home. No matter who they claim themselves are. No matter they are policemen, government officers, staff of gas, water or electricity companies, security guard of the building, or anyone. Sometimes wrongdoers may lie and pretend that they are sent by us, saying that we have accidents, trying to cheat your money or asking you to let them in and then rob. Be very careful. This is very popular in Hong Kong. Always call us immediately. In case you can’t find us and have serious problems, call 999 for the police or ambulance.
24. Close all the windows when you leave the house.
BB Caring
25. Taking care of baby is the most important tasks over any housework. Be careful of baby’s safety. Inform us immediately if you note anything wrong with baby, no matter how mild the problem is. If you can’t find us, call our parents. In the event of emergency, call 999 for police or ambulance.
26. Report any accident of BB to Madam immediately.
27. Don’t leave the children or baby alone at home.
28. When you go out with BB, be careful to take care of the BB & you must hold her hand in tight. Don’t let her run improperly.
29. Don’t do danger housework such as ironing when we are not at home. You may hurt BB.
30. Hitting BB is strictly prohibited even she gets wrong. You have to inform Madam for handling.
31. Talk to baby in Cantonese or English only. Don’t talk to baby in your mother tongue; no matter we at home or not. It will spoil our plan of training her language skill.
Saving
32. Please help us to save money, Please don’t waste water, gas or electricity. We are not rich. Otherwise, we may not have money to hire you longer.
33. Save energy. Don’t turn on the air-conditioner & TV when you are at home alone.
34. Turn off the light of room if you are not using it.
Telephone
35. Don’t use mobile phone or phone at home for personal matters during Monday to Saturday. You should concentrate in taking care of the baby. It is very easy to have accident if you do not pay full attention to the baby. If you are found using the mobile phone during Monday to Saturday, we will help you to keep the mobile phone until your holiday.
36. Don’t carry your mobile phone at home.
37. Always switch off the mobile phone when you are at home. Even in silent mode is not acceptable. If you don’t switch off the phone, we will help you to keep the mobile phone until your holiday.
38. Ask Madam for permission if you need to use the home telephone.
Holiday
39. Return home before 8:30p.m. sharp on weekly holiday and all public holiday. If you need to return a little bit late, let us know in advance.
40. The employer has the right to request you for working on holiday subject to alternative compensations to be discussed.
Hygiene and Cleanliness
41. Wash your hands after returning home from outside.
42. Personal hygiene, house’s tidiness and cleanliness are very important, especially to baby.
43. You may use the washing machine to clean your clothes but they should be separated from ours and baby’s.
44. Must have shower daily for personal hygiene.
45. Never piss in the bath tub.
46. Everyone’s personal stuff (clothes, soap, skin care, shower cap, towels, tooth brush, hair brush, etc.) are personal. Please use only yours and don’t use ours for person hygiene reason.
47. Never spit in the kitchen sink. It’s for food only. The sink should not be used for body cleaning or clothes washing. You should do it only in the bathroom basin.
48. We only eat in the kitchen and dinning room. Don’t eat in the bedroom and study room.
49. Every time after you use the toilet, you must wash your hands with soap.
50. Every time before you prepare food or milk to baby, you must wash your hands with soap.
51. Cloth should be use for specific purpose. Cloth for cleaning toilet should not be used in kitchen or dinning room. Cloth for cleaning kitchen should not be used in toilet or dinning room.
Communication
52. If you don’t understand our instruction, ask Sir and Madam. Don’t guess.
53. Use a notebook to write down the instructions of Sir and Madam to help your memory.
54. If you need anything, have any problem or even feel unhappy with us, be frank and discuss with us. Don’t hide your feeling.
55. Madam will take care of everything of the family. Talk to Madam if you have any questions or problems. Don’t bring them to Sir privately.
Sickness
56. If feeling sick, tell us immediately. We will pay for all medical expenses. Don’t take drug yourself or wait. You may spread the disease to baby.
Use of Equipment
57. Don’t use the computer, hi-fi and DVD without asking us in advance.
58. Don’t turn on the TV unless BB is watching VCD.
59. Play music CD when BB at home. Change CD regularly.
Behavior
60. Please dress decently at home, no exposed, sexy stuff.
61. Please don’t paint your nails, wear make-up or fragrance when working, as it may irritate baby.
62. Don’t throw anything out of the window. It’s illegal.
