I've started swimming since I was in week 8. Now, I'm in week 23 and will keep on go swimming till week 36 (mid of April). I find swimming a good exercise. Besides, I do prenatal yoga , too.
I was planning to start swimming when I am 20 weeks. However, I am suspected of placenta lying low and close to cervix. So my doc told me not to do any exercise at all. Is this true? I really like swimming and swimming will help me in delivering the baby as well. What should I do?
I also has the problem of low lying placenta at the first stage of pregnancy, but it moved up to normal position later on. My doctor told that usually it will move up to normal position automatically, so don't worry. You should ask your doctor whether the placenta has came to the right position, if so, then you can start swimming. Goold luck!
