heard from my agent that CX has $299 + tax/air fuel air ticket to Philippine and offer till 30 June.

I think you can check with any agent.

It should be Cebu Pacific not Cathay Pacific (CX). My sister has just got a ticket from Cebu Pacific. She also had to pay the tax, the total is HK$5xx.
