My daughter had that kind of problem. She started refusing to be fed by bottle when she was 6 weeks old and I have a postpartum check up. Since I have to go back to my full time work, I started to train her when she was 2.5 months old. Everyday, my mom took her upstairs and she won't see me. My mom used a bottle to feed her, she just cried and used her tongue to pull the bottle out of her mouth, then went to sleep, awoke then cried again. The whole thing just kept going like that. The whole training process was a nightmare.
When I went back to work and she could not see me at all during the day, she still refused to eat. There was one day my husband with my daughter at home, she only ate 2-3 oz of milk during the whole day. My husband had to come to pick me up at work and then I fed her before we drove home.
I would just say, many baby girls cling to mom so much and they would only go for breastfeeding if they can. Some babies may surround when they are fed with particular model of baby bottles. Some just do not eat no matter what. Sound scary but my sister-in-law's friend has a daughter who totally refused to eat when the mom was at work. Seriously, she just cried and slept and waited for the mom to get off from work.
I'm lucky that my mom is a very patient person to babies and kids. She just kept feeding my daughter every hour. Although my daughter would only take 1-2 oz each time, she kept feeding her. Honestly speaking, I and my daughter were not able to separate except working days. I went with her everywhere in the first 2 years. Of course, the situation would be a bit better when my daughter was old enough to have solid food.
Try using a different bottle and teat. I found a wide-neck bottle and a softer teat working better. My daughter used the one called The First Years Breastflow. It worked quite well for her. Another one named Adiri Natural Nurser is particularly made to imitate mom's breast. I bought that one too but my daughter did not really like it and my mom did not know how to use it (open at the bottom and a little big to hold).
