We've bought a 5D4N Sabah package from Wincastle Travel Co. We'll stay in Magellan Sutera Hotel, via dragon airlines (early morning departure, late evening back to HK). Departune on middle of July. Adult is HK$4,999/head (child @HK$2599~2699/head) including daily b/f, round trip transper, city tour & 1 day Sapi Island Tour.
I just discovered that the above package price have been raised up by HK$500/head (to all new buyer) 2 days after our purchase.

I've the same feeling as yours - very very expensive .
I originally planned to go to Singapore ~ K.L. ~ K.K. ~ Singapore for 8~10days via SQ airlines.....This should be a cheaper (but quite complicated) route. However, my husband loves Sabah a lot and we will go with our kids (one is 4.5yrs old, another is 7.5yrs old). We believe a simple & leisure journey suits young kid more. So,
We chose to leave from HK to Sabah on Tuesday, which dragon air offer to give HK$200/head refund........this help me to save HK$800 in other term...... :wink:
We would like to go to Sabah as well in 2nd week of July. All economy class of Dragon Air and Malaysia airline are full. Most hotels are full too. My travel agency said malaysia airline offer business class with 3 night that cost around HK4400 for aduit and HK2xxx for kid. We must confirm the hotel now with one night penalty on cancellation. It is very expensive but I think we may confirm on Monday.
Any one be Sabah before ? Should we rent the car ? I know that is difficult to get taxi in Kuala Lumpur. I am not easy whether it is easy to get taxi in Sabah.

I want to stay in Shangri-la Rasa Ria Hotel.
In fact, i ask several agent before that the hotel is full booking .
I choose that hotel because there are a excellent kid's club house.
Anyone have another suggestions( for my 4 years old child).
