tell you a way to "make sure" they remeber....
but you have to be patient and willing to go thru the trouble.....
my yan yan cook badly all the time... i told her not to be too salty but she didn't listen... and finally, one day... she cooked so salty and oily... and I told her...we are not eating this..... and I throw away the food in the trash....now ( 8pm) you go to buy new food and cook again..... she looked at me... and i said just go!
I lived in Kowloon tong.. and there 's no market around... she will have to take a bus to Monk Kok or Lok Fu and try to find something at night... it's really difficult....
but i made her go... at the same time, I ordered Pizza.. and eat my Pizza.... when she came back with all the food at 9pm.. I told her to start cooking again.... so she cook a whole meal with 4 dishes again and finished at about 10:30pm.... then, I tasted the food... and told her ... okay la.. now you remember? right?? and i said next time, I will do the same, becuase I 've already taught you 100 times....
and she cleaned up the kitchen and dishes and finishes the work at about 12.....
Yes, it's a little tough.. but that's the best way to teach her a lesson.... becuase if she cook too salty or oily everytime... and you still eat it... that means it's okay for you la.. you can still eat ma...
It's a lot of trouble and extra $$ for you too... but sometimes a little trouble now is way better than endless yelling...
It's a very good way to make sure the maid will remember what we said . I'm waiting for my 1st Indo maid. I'll do the same as u if she's absent-minded. Harshness is necessary in some situation. thanks for your sharing.
