DVD Camcorder, you can view by putting the dvd in any other DVD player, it's convenient
HD Camcorder, there are pros and cons
Pros :don't need to buy any DVD blank disk for recording (versus DVD Camcorder).
It's also good at transferring the data from camcorder to computer.
Cons : when travelling and the HD is full, you have to bring with you the computer to copy the data before you can take any shot again
You have to copy to computer and make DVD, it takes double the time
