My son is P2 & now studying the 2nd year of Starter, he didn\'t take the exam last year. I want to know is it need to take the exam after finished the course this year and then go to Mover at P3!? Please comment, thanks!

I am not sure if studying cambridge is useful.

How's your son's English result in school? It's best to focus on school first because cambridge is not that related to school. If you are thinking to use it to help your son get in a good secondary school, you will need KET or higher. Too many students have cert already.

I am teaching private Cambridge class for some P1 students, it really pity much depends on their own standard, as it really varies a lot!
And I also teach reading and writing , and grammar classes.
In my own opinion, for primary school level students, it is better for them to take grammar foundation class + reading and writing in regular basis!
Cambridge eng is just for the purpose of obtaining certificates, it is not that practical!!

同意！我囡上課外英文堂間中心，叫我比囡囡讀reading & writing，劍橋想考試，到時報一個溫習班做練習就可以去考。

What is your purpose of taking the Starters course? Actually I think the course is exam-oriented. Kids usually have the exam after finishing the course.

Do you mean that your kid has been studying the Starter course for more than 1 year? I think the duration is too long as the vocabulary items and language structures are not too difficult for P.2 students. You may consider to have the Starters exam and proceed to Movers.
