猴棗末 is the tonsil of the monkey. tonsil is response for defense against the bacteria and virus and filtering. If I am right, it is non-treated, i.e dried and powdered only. If the monkey being infected, it is a big problem. I will not allow my baby taking this kind of medicine.
i went to 余X生 this morning & the shop assistant told me that "猴棗" is 猴子's "膽"石(bladder stone)... but their production process will 將它消毒, so should be ok... 較早前
